Newsletter is an email signup form with space above it for a heading and a few words on what subscribers get, built from theme blocks. All three presets end their home page with it.
Customers who sign up are added to your customer list in Shopify as email subscribers, tagged newsletter. After signing up, the form is replaced by a thank-you message.
Where to find it
In the theme editor, click Add section and choose Newsletter. You can add it to the home page or any other page that takes sections, as many times as you like.
Consent text
Consent text is shown under the email field. Say plainly what customers are signing up for, and link to your privacy policy if you have one. Many countries require this, so don't leave it empty without checking the rules where you sell.
With the footer signup
The footer can hold its own Email signup block. On a page that has a Newsletter section, the footer's signup hides itself, so customers never see two signup forms on one page.
Layout options
Text alignment sets the content and the form to the left or the center. A background image with an overlay turns the section into a full-width closing image.
Section settings
Select the section in the theme editor to see these settings, in this order.

Theme blocks
This section is filled with Masthead's theme blocks: headings, text, buttons, images, videos, products, collections, accordion rows, spacers and groups, in any order and nested inside each other. Theme blocks explains each one. The section holds up to 6 blocks at its top level.
App blocks
Apps that offer app blocks can be added here too. They appear under Apps when you click Add block.
Tips
- Say what subscribers get and how often: "One letter a month, with first access to new collections."
- To send a welcome email or a discount, set up an automation in Shopify Email or your email app, triggered by new subscribers.
