Verification methods

Choose how visitors prove their age.

Age Shield offers four verification methods. Pick the one that fits your compliance needs.

Available methods

• Yes / No — a simple “Are you 18+?” confirmation. Fastest, lowest friction.
• Date of birth — visitor enters their birth date; the app calculates whether they meet the minimum age.
• Terms checkbox — visitor ticks a box to confirm they meet the requirement and accept your terms.
• PIN code — visitor must enter a code you provide (useful for private or wholesale stores).

Which should I use?

For most alcohol, vape, and tobacco stores, Date of birth is the safest default. For general “mature content” gating, Yes / No is usually enough.
